Privacy Policy

content-factory ("the tool") is a private desktop tool operated by Ramil Abdullin ("the operator"). It is used only by the operator to manage the operator's own YouTube channels.

YouTube API Services

The tool uses YouTube API Services (YouTube Data API v3 and YouTube Analytics API). By using the tool you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

What data the tool accesses

OAuth tokens that Google issues when the channel owner signs in. Scopes: youtube.upload (upload videos), youtube.readonly (identify the signed-in channel, read video counters), yt-analytics.readonly (read the channel's own video analytics).
Channel identity: the channel ID and title of the signed-in channel, used only to check that a video goes to the intended channel.
Video metadata and statistics for videos on the operator's own channels: video ID, publish date, views, engaged views, likes, comments, average view duration and percentage, subscribers gained.

The tool does not access other users' channels, comments authored by other users, subscribers' personal data, email addresses, contacts or payment data.

How the data is used and stored

Data is used only to upload the operator's videos and to compare how the operator's videos perform.
OAuth tokens and statistics are stored locally on the operator's computer. They are not sent to any server other than Google's.
Statistics obtained from the API are refreshed or deleted within 30 days, as required by the YouTube API Services Developer Policies.
No data is sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.

Revoking access and deleting data

The channel owner can revoke the tool's access at any time on the Google security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. After revocation the stored tokens stop working. To have locally stored data deleted, contact the operator; it will be deleted within 7 days.
